STIRLING MURDER LTD CONSUMER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. ABOUT US AND OUR SERVICES

Stirling Murder Ltd specialises in providing immersive and interactive entertainment experiences, primarily live murder mystery events. Our core services include:

      Immersive Murder Mystery Events – Fully staged events where theatrical       performance meets audience participation. Guests interact with actors,                   gather clues, and solve mysteries.

      Themed Parties – Customised murder mystery experiences tailored for                  special occasions, including bespoke narratives and settings.

1.1      Variations and Packages

1.1.1   Standard Package – Set storyline, predetermined actors, and            standard props.

1.1.2   Customisable Package – Modifications to storyline, character            roles, and interactive elements.

1.1.3   Premium Package – Extended performance time, additional actors, enhanced set designs, and optional catering or added        services.

1.2       Ticketed Events

1.2.1   Standard Murder Mystery – Live performance at various venues.

1.2.2   Murder Mystery with Dining – Performance with a meal (e.g.,             three-course dinner or buffet).

1.2.3   Murder Mystery with Overnight Stay – Includes dinner,            performance, accommodation, and breakfast.

2. PRICING, PAYMENT, AND ADDITIONAL FEES

            2.1       For Private Events (Booked by Groups) – Prices are based on the                        selected package.

            2.1.1   Additional charges may apply for customisation, extended                              duration, extra actors, or venue-specific costs.

            2.1.2   A deposit of 20% or minimum £200 whichever is greater, is                            required at booking.

            2.1.3   Remaining balance due on the day of the event or as mutually                      agreed in writing before the event date.

            2.1.4   Payment Method -Bank Transfer only.

2.2       For Ticketed Events – Full payment is required at the time of                        booking.

            2.2.1   Prices vary based on location, venue, and package.

            2.2.2   Online ticket purchases include a £1.50 processing fee.

            2.2.3   Telephone purchases include a £3 processing fee.

            2.2.4   Other additional services such as spa treatments or afternoon                       teas are not included in the standard ticket price unless expressly             stated.

            2.3       Late Payments:

            2.3.1   Interest of 4% above the Bank of England base rate applies to                      overdue payments.

3. BOOKING, CANCELLATION, AND REFUND POLICY

            3.1       For Private Events – Bookings must be confirmed with our head office                   after which a booking confirmation will be emailed with a deposit invoice.                         This deposit is non-refundable.

3.2       Cancellation Policy

3.2.1   More than 15 days before the event -Deposit is non-refundable,       but no additional fee is charged.

3.2.2   Within 15 days – Full event fee is payable.

            3.3       For Ticketed Events:

            3.3.1   All sales are final.

            3.3.2   No refunds for cancellations or no-shows.

            3.3.3   Ticket Transfers – Permitted with 21 days’ notice to our head office               only and will be subject to availability.

4. CONSUMER RIGHTS, DISPUTES, AND COMPLAINTS

            4.1      We comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, ensuring services are                 delivered with reasonable care and skill. If you experience issues:

            4.1.1   Submit complaints in writing to complaints@stirlingmurder.co.uk

            4.1.2   Include details of the issue, supporting evidence, and the                               resolution you seek.

            4.1.3   We will investigate and provide a formal response.

            4.1.4   If a refund or compensation is due, it will be determined based on                 our service standards and will be refunded to you within 14 days.

            4.1.5   The decision by Joshua Taylor-Williams in respect of your                              complaint will be final and binding.

5. EVENT PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

5.1      Age Requirement – Minimum 12 years old; under 18s must be                     accompanied by an adult.

5.2       Content Warning – Some themes may contain strong language or               distressing material.

5.3       Dress Code – No mandatory requirements; themed attire                               encouraged.

6. LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

6.1      Public Liability Insurance – Coverage up to £2,000,000.

            Employer’s Liability Insurance – Coverage up to £10,000,000.

6.2       Limitations

6.2.1   Venue-related incidents must be addressed with the venue    directly.

6.2.2   Personal belongings are the attendee’s responsibility.

6.2.3   Hazardous activities such as pyrotechnics or dry ice are excluded    from coverage.

6.3       Reporting Incidents – Notify event staff immediately in case of injury or     accident.

7. EVENT CHANGES AND FORCE MAJEURE

7.1       Changes to Events

7.1.1   Stirling Murder Ltd may alter event details due to unforeseen             circumstances.

7.1.2   We will inform customers of venue changes, delays, or           cancellations.

7.2       Event Cancellation by Stirling Murder Ltd

7.2.1   For private events – A full refund or alternative date will be offered.

7.2.2   For ticketed events – A full refund or ticket transfer is provided.

7.2.3   If an event includes accommodation – Only the performance fee        (30%) is refundable.

8. MARKETING, PRIVACY, AND DATA PROTECTION

8.1       Photography & Videography

8.1.1   We may take promotional photos and videos during events.

8.1.2   Attendees may opt out by notifying event staff 7 days in advance      and on the evening of the event at info@stirlingmurder.co.uk.

8.2       Testimonials & Social Media

8.2.1   Reviews and feedback may be used in our marketing including         our website and promotional materials and adverts.

8.2.2   Attendees tagged on social media may have their posts reshared.

8.3       GDPR Compliance

8.3.1   Personal data is processed in accordance with UK data protection   law and further information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

8.3.2   Requests for data removal can be sent to           info@stirlingmurder.co.uk.

9. ACCESSIBILITY

We strive to make our events accessible to all guests. Please contact us 7 days in advance to discuss any specific accessibility needs or accommodations.

10. HEALTH AND SAFETY

We adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations. Specific guidelines, including COVID-19 precautions, will be communicated to attendees as necessary.

11. AMENDMENTS TO TERMS

Stirling Murder Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Any changes will be communicated to consumers via our website or direct communication.

12. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Stirling Murder Ltd and the consumer, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.

14. CONSUMER RIGHTS TO REFUNDS

14.1    Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers are entitled to a   refund if the services provided do not meet the standards of reasonable    care and skill, or if they do not match the description given at the time of           purchase.

14.2    If you believe the service provided by Stirling Murder Ltd falls short of          these             standards, please contact us at complaints@stirlingmurder.co.uk      with details of your concern.

14.3    We will assess the situation and, if appropriate, offer a refund or       alternative remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

15. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

15.1    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15.2    Disputes will be resolved through negotiation, followed by mediation if         necessary.

15.3    If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the      courts of England and Wales.
